There are nine sailing barge races — properly called matches — each year between late May and early September.

Eight matches count towards the annual Sailing Barge Championship, overseen by the Sailing Barge Association. Repertor is usually keenly competitive and was Champion Barge in 2007, having previously held the title in 2006, 2003, 2000 and 1999.

We can take up to eight passengers with us on match days. Learn the ropes and help out, or just sit back and watch the action at close quarters!

Passage trips and daysails

Passage trips come before and after most matches, to take us to and from the host port. Daysails are often arranged for the day after a match.

If you are coming racing with us, why not add on passage trips or daysails as extra days? You could join us the day before the race, to help us tune up — or stay the day after, to help us unwind!
