Walk-and-sail cruises

The Essex, Suffolk and Kent rivers provide walkers with a large variety of interesting sea-wall and inland rambles. After breakfast on board, you will be set down ashore and we will bring Repertor to meet you at the end of your walk. Any members of the party who wish to can, of course, remain on board for the sail round. The programme can be tailored to your wishes and to the weather.

Typical attractive walks include: Wivenhoe to Brightlingsea; across Mersea Island; Shotley to Pin Mill; through Mistley Woods or to Wrabness; and the Saxon Shore Way along Faversham Creek and the River Swale to Whitstable. Guide maps and route descriptions can be provided.

Art and photography cruises

Our East Coast cruising grounds offer magical qualities of mood, light and shade on sea, land and sky, as well as many fine buildings, classic boats and historic maritime structures, all of which are certain to interest artists and photographers — or, indeed, any of us!

We can organise trips, ideally over several days, that will give some fine sailing between locations as well as time at anchor or ashore for sketching, painting or photography.

Birdwatching cruises

A cruise of any length you like, from your choice of starting location, with a focus on the SSSIs of the Rivers Swale and Medway in Kent, or the marshes and sanctuaries of the Essex and Suffolk rivers. Large numbers of birds can be seen, particularly when migrating in the autumn. We can also arrange, for an additional fee, for an expert from the Essex, Suffolk or Kent Wildife Trusts to accompany the trip.

Breweries cruise

Shepherd Neame of Faversham; Tolly Cobbold of Ipswich; Greene King and Adnams of Southwold. Ideally the breweries cruise should be taken over four or five days, cruising on the Rivers Swale, Orwell and Alde with shore visits to pubs offering the best of the local brews. We can usually arrange visits to the Faversham and Ipswich breweries.

Clay pigeon shooting afloat

Under expert safety-certified supervision, this is a day-trip that goes with a bang! We sail in the morning, anchor for the shoot and for lunch, then sail back in the afternoon. Alternatives include conventional trap shooting (which needs to be booked well in advance) and laser simulation. Additional fees: prices on request.
